In the Quran, Allah says;
And remember We took a covenant from the Children of Israel (to this effect): Worship none but Allah; treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practise regular charity. Then did ye turn back, except a few among you, and ye backslide (even now). [2:83]I learn to evaluate people, not by their looks or appearance, but through their way to express their emotions. I'm not being judgmental, since myself isn't a good person. But, how you talk, and how you type and organize your words sometimes portray who you really are. Whether you are mature, or not being able to control your anger, sometimes that's how we know the way people think through their acts in order to dig what is actually inside their souls.
As far as we're concerned, morals and manners in Islam ought to be practised by all Muslims regardless of race or skin colour. There are many beautiful Quranic verses and hadeeth on the etiquettes of speech. Thus, why wouldn't we take actions by implementing Islamic adab at the very first place? This could be one of the way of approach to perform da'wah, conveying the message on the beauty of Islam. But, how we can perform da'wah when we're not even practicing it ourselves?
May Allah guide us all the way.
Hence, we should learn to avoid giving hurtful words. We must have the sagacity to choose what words that suit best taking the current situation into account. Keep away from wounding others' hearts or else everyone will start distancing themselves from you. Do treat others as one would want to be treated.
Remember, words can kill. Words can also be powerful.
So, choose your words wisely, people!
